Your 2009 NHL Playoffs Matchups

Well, this is what we've all been waiting for. Even if your team isn't in the running for the Cup this year, you can't help but be excited to see how this all ends up. Even though Tuesday night is like the Finals for myself, the Islanders, and other folks whose team is out of it there's still a lot to be interested in. You've got a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals and the Battle of Pennsylvania. There's the Blue Jackets actually, you know, invited to the dance and you can bet Nationwide is going to be bonkers when they come home for Game Three. Then there's the annual question mark of spring as to whether or not the Sharks choke. And of course, there are many more questions to be answered. And heck, even if you're not a hockey fan and simply into sports betting with a taste (or desperation) for hockey betting, then the first game that goes into triple overtime will surely make you lose your mind even if you have no fan alliegances.

Without any further ado, here are your first round matchups for the 2009 NHL Playoffs. We'll have more coverage including putting our egos on the line with predictions in the coming days. For now, take these in, soak 'em up and lay back and enjoy two days of calm before we all go completely off our rockers.

OK let me go through this

Boston will slotter the Canadiens. Capitals will sen home the Rangers. Corolina will throw New Jersy right into a Twister. Pittsburgh will sen Phileldphia to the North Pole. Anehiem is going to majorly upset the Sharks. Detroit to the second round. Canucks will go all the way. The Flames will burn themselves, no need to Chicago to do much.

However, this should be pretty exciting this year, and really there's no telling of who's going to make it all the way.

Slotter? You mean "slaughter", right?

Majorly?

"No need to Chicago to do much"?

Were you drunk when you posted that?
