Your 2010 Stanley Cup Odds

It's never too early to talk about next year, especially given the vast wasteland of hockey nothingness between July 4th and October. So, here are your betting odds for the 2010 Stanley Cup. As you can see, the Islanders have a nice head start. Why the Sharks are third on this list either shows that whomever made it has no idea what they're doing or they're just drunk. And how an aging team that clearly looked tired down the stretch is ranked ahead of the young up and comers that beat them in the Finals and won the Cup is beyond me. Other than that, well, it looks pretty sane.

Detroit Red Wings               5/1

Pittsburgh Penguins             7/1

San Jose Sharks               8/1

Boston Bruins                   9/1

Chicago Blackhawks             10/1

Washington Capitals             10/1

Vancouver Canucks             15/1

Philadelphia Flyers               16/1

New Jersey Devils               18/1

Calgary Flames                 20/1

Anaheim Ducks                 22/1

Carolina Hurricanes             25/1

New York Rangers               25/1

Dallas Stars                     30/1

Montreal Canadiens             30/1

Minnesota Wild                 35/1

St. Louis Blues                 35/1

Buffalo Sabres                   40/1

Columbus Blue Jackets         40/1

Edmonton Oilers                 40/1

Florida Panthers                 40/1

Ottawa Senators                 45/1

Nashville Predators             50/1

Los Angeles Kings               60/1

Toronto Maple Leafs             60/1

Colorado Avalanche             70/1

Atlanta Thrashers               80/1

Tampa Bay Lightning             80/1

Phoenix Coyotes               85/1

New York Islanders             100/1

Only 40-1 for the Sabres? I thought it would be much more after the thorough "housecleaning" Darcy has done.

AS a Hawks fan, I have to say the odds of late are much nicer to see than those of the last ... to many years.

Might not be Cup contenders, but if LA goes and spends some cash, they might be a playoffs team, that just might be able to put a push in the Playofffs.

Better the 60/1

THE WINGS are the favorites because they have been the model of consistency for the last 15 yrs and have a Great team and if they were healthy would have repeated That's HOW fauxrumors

Hawks has champions team and hossa is curse for the blackhawks for 12 years and huet isn't championship goalie and he can't past first round and i think Hawks lose in 1 or 2 round. no way to west final. huet sucks and bullin wall is way better than heut and if the sign khabbulin and i would say hawks win the cup. no chance win the cup this year. the only three teams i would say is Calgary, San Josa and detriot. Hossa is choke in the Stanley cup and i proved penguins and red wings and he win cup with the best two teams have best players.

leafs are not a contender yet because they have tough guys and who would score for leafs and there no chance the leafs win the cup this year and there in the long haul for the cup. i would say 3 or 4 years and they have a chance in the cup.

sens are much better than the Leafs because they have scoring and goal scorer and they have defense and they just need Pascal Leclaire to step up and not have injiures and they have good backup goalie Brain Elliott and the have the only canadian team in the east have good shot for the cup because the leafs are long haul and the canadians are not championship team and they have scoring and no shutdown defense and no moving puck defense and no way they are going cup this year even the playoffs.
who made these odds

These are brutal, how is Vancouver 15/1 and Clgary 20/1, and Flordia 40/1, I'd consider 1000/1 odds not worth betting on.

I completely agree with you Robis. The Sens are shaping up to be an amzing team overall. But the ratio does show the odds as of late....next year we'll for sure be much higher smilies/smiley.gif and kidkawartha...the Sens are mucch better than leafs. Sorry to disapoint smilies/tongue.gif

Love all you hockey fans -xxoo-
